Urker wasn't a celebrity — he was the quiet partner behind one of the most-watched women in true crime, and a familiar face from Lifetime's "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up."

He first wrote to Blanchard as a supportive pen pal after HBO's "Mommy Dead and Dearest" in 2017. The two became engaged in October 2018 while she was serving time for her role in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard's 2015 murder.

After the engagement was called off, Urker stepped away — until Blanchard's early release from prison in December 2023 brought them back together.

Blanchard's brother Dylan and his wife entered through an unlocked bedroom window and found Urker unresponsive in bed. Investigators recovered several items inside the home; TMZ reports a gun found there was not fired.

Reports of a suicide threat come from TMZ's account of the dispatch call and remain reported details, not established findings. The sheriff's investigation is ongoing — with a 1-year-old daughter left behind, answers matter.
